AI Product Learning Studio

You’ve built it. What’s next?

Your AI product works. Now come the harder questions: Does it solve a real problem? Can people use it? Is it ready for real customers? Wingmaker helps you build the skills and judgement to answer them.

Hands-on learning in product validation, UX and design, and technical readiness. Built for founders and makers who already have something working.

The post-build moment

A working product is just the beginning.

AI has changed how quickly we can turn ideas into software. But the ability to build something doesn’t tell you whether you’ve built the right thing.

What building alone won’t tell you

  • Whether people need what you’ve created.
  • Whether your product is intuitive and useful.
  • Which problems deserve your attention first.
  • Whether it’s technically ready for real users.

More prompts and more features aren’t always the answer.

Sometimes what you need is better research, sharper thinking, stronger design judgement, or a clearer understanding of technical risks.

You’ve made it work. Now let’s make it good.

Already have a working AI product? Wingmaker is developing focused learning experiences to help you investigate what matters, improve what you’ve built, and prepare for real users.

Choose the challenge you’re facing. These programs are independent entry points, not compulsory steps.

01 ValidateIn development

Is it worth pursuing?

AI Product Validation Circle

Your MVP works. But do you have enough evidence to know what to do next?

Join a focused learning Circle designed to help AI product builders investigate customer needs, test critical assumptions, and develop the judgement to make informed product decisions.

Proposed outcome

Make one evidence-backed decision about whether to launch, iterate, pivot, or stop your existing MVP.

02 RefineIn development

How can you make it better?

AI Design Judgement Circle

You’ve built something functional. But the experience isn’t quite right.

Develop the design judgement to recognise UX problems, prioritise meaningful improvements, and make your AI-built product genuinely better to use.

Proposed outcome

Identify, improve, and evaluate the most important UX and design issues in your working MVP.

03 ShipFuture collaborative program

Is it ready for real users?

AI Product Engineering Lab

Your product works in a demo. But is it ready for real users?

A future hands-on engineering program for AI builders who want to understand technical risks, improve reliability, and prepare their MVPs for a more controlled release. Planned as a collaborative program with an engineering specialist.

Proposed outcome

Identify priority technical risks, make feasible improvements with engineering guidance, and prepare a practical release plan.

Approach

Expert guidance. Shared learning. Real progress.

Wingmaker is being designed around learning experiences that combine structured expertise with practical application and the energy of a small group.

Bring a working product. Learn relevant principles, apply them to your own challenges, receive expert and peer feedback, and develop the judgement to make better decisions independently.

  1. 01

    Learn

Understand the principles, methods, and reasoning behind better product decisions.

  2. 02

    Apply

Put that knowledge to work on your existing MVP.

    On your own product
  3. 03

    Get feedback

Develop your judgement through expert guidance, critique, and discussion.

  4. 04

    Improve

Make meaningful changes and take what you’ve learned into your next product decision.

Then again, with your next decision

Real products. Real questions. Practical learning.

The goal isn’t simply to complete a course.

It’s to develop the judgement to make better decisions independently.

Who it’s for

Built for people who have already built something.

Wingmaker is for you if:

  • You have a working AI-powered prototype or MVP.
  • You’re building independently or as part of a small team.
  • You use code, AI-assisted development tools, or a combination of both.
  • You want to understand customers and improve your product — not just add more features.
  • You’re willing to learn, experiment, receive feedback, and make changes.

You don’t need to be a professional developer or designer.

You do need something functional you can work on.

About

Meet the founder.

Hi, I’m Sónia Gomes.

I’m a product strategist, UX researcher, and designer.

My work centres on understanding people, making sense of product uncertainty, evaluating experiences, and helping teams make better decisions about what to build and improve.

AI has opened up product creation to more people than ever before.

I believe that’s exciting. But I also believe that knowing how to create software isn’t the same as knowing how to create something good.

I’m building Wingmaker to help AI product builders develop the thinking, skills, and judgement that make the difference.

Because better builders make better products.

— Sónia Gomes

FAQ

Common questions.

When do the programs start?

The first to start is Build AI Products People Trust, the collaborative cohort with Madalena Costa and Sónia Gomes, on 19 January 2027. Its waitlist is open on aipeopletrust.com (opens in a new tab). Wingmaker’s own programs, the two Circles and the AI Product Engineering Lab, are in development and no dates have been announced yet. Join early access to hear first.

Is Build AI Products People Trust a Wingmaker course?

No. It’s a separate collaborative program, co-created and delivered by Madalena Costa and Sónia Gomes, with its own website, registration and mailing list. Wingmaker features it because it suits people who haven’t built their first AI product yet. Joining Wingmaker’s list doesn’t sign you up for it, and you don’t need it to join a Wingmaker program.

What is a Circle?

An expert-led, small-group learning format. Each Circle combines structured teaching and critique, a consistent group of builders facing related challenges, work on your own functioning MVP, and peer feedback. It isn’t a discussion group or a passive video course: each Circle is being designed around one specific outcome.

What is a Lab?

A hands-on technical learning format: guided implementation, experimentation and testing on a working product, with structured teaching. A Lab can be delivered as a cohort, as planned for the AI Product Engineering Lab.

Do I need to be technical?

No. You don’t need to be a professional developer or designer. You do need something functional you can work on: a working AI-powered prototype or MVP, built with code, AI-assisted tools, or both.

Does joining the list commit me to anything?

No. It’s free, and it doesn’t reserve a place or commit you to a purchase. You’ll get occasional updates about Wingmaker’s programs and pilots, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
