Comparing courses
Most AI product management cohorts teach you to use AI: the tools, the prompts, how to prototype faster. They’re useful, and there are good ones. Wingmaker teaches the part that comes after, when building is cheap and the hard question is what deserves your team’s commitment.
You bring one real decision from your own work. Over four weeks you take it to a clear call, with the evidence to back it.
| Wingmaker | Typical AI PM cohort | |
|---|---|---|
| What you learn | One skill: deciding what deserves your team’s commitment, with the Altitude Method. | A broad curriculum: AI fundamentals, tools, prompting, prototyping, product strategy. |
| What you work on | One real decision from your own work, built or not. | Course exercises, case studies or a capstone project. |
| What you leave with | A clear call (continue, change, stop or defer) and the evidence behind it. | A course project, often with a certificate. |
| Format | 4 live classes, 90 min each, on Wednesdays. | Typically 3 to 11 weeks, often with several sessions a week. |
| Price | $600 for the first cohort. | Most cohorts $1,500 to $2,500; certifications up to $3,000 to $5,000. |
| Who it’s for | Product builders in teams that build with AI: PMs, designers, tech leads, EMs. | PMs moving into AI product roles, often aiming for a credential. |
Prices for other cohorts are typical ranges from public listings in November 2026. Each provider sets its own.
If you want to learn AI tools and prompting hands-on, or build a prototype as part of the course, a broader AI PM cohort will serve you better. Wingmaker won’t teach you a tool stack.
If your team already builds with AI and the hard part is deciding what to build, keep or stop, and backing that call in front of your team or leadership, that’s the one skill this course is about.
